The Darkest Part by Trisha Wolfe Spotlight + Sale!

Blurb:
Pressing the boundaries of both the psyche and the heart, Sam and Holden embark on a dangerous journey that will test the limits of love.

Sam Wintry’s life used to be almost perfect. She was engaged to her childhood best friend and high school sweetheart, Tyler Marks, planning an amazing cross-country honeymoon during her college break. But after a hit-and-run leaves her in ruin, she begins seeing Tyler’s fractured, ghostly presence, and her family believes she’s losing her mind. Not until she completes their journey, stopping along the way to scatter Tyler's remains, will Tyler be able cross over. Only...is Sam ready for him to leave her?

When the black sheep of the Marks' family, Holden Marks, returns to check on Tyler's case, Sam convinces him to give her his brother's ashes. Despite their shaky history, she needs him...plus, he owes it to Sam and his brother. What she doesn’t count on is Holden’s relentlessness to go on the trip.

On the road, Holden realizes just how unhinged Sam has become. Dealing with her psychosis forces him to confront his dark past, making it harder to keep secrets hidden that should remain buried. Especially from Sam, the only woman he’s ever loved. And as Sam starts to unravel the truth, she begins to question if the brother she's unwillingly falling for again is in an even darker place than her.

New Adult Contemporary coming this year.

IN A RACE AGAINST TIME, HOW DO YOU KEEP THOSE YOU LOVE SAFE?

Jenny Kramer knows she isn't normal. After all, not everybody can see the past lives of people around them. When she befriends Ben Daulton, resident new boy, the pair stumbles on an old music box with instructions for “mesmerization” and discover they may have more in common than they thought.

Like a past life.

Using the instructions in the music box, Ben and Jenny share a dream that transports them to Romanov Russia and leads them to believe they have been there together before. But they weren't alone. Nikolai, the mysterious young man Jenny has been seeing in her own dreams was there, too. When Nikolai appears next door, Jenny is forced to acknowledge that he has traveled through time and space to find her. Doing so means he has defied the laws of time, and the Order, an ominous organization tasked with keeping people in the correct time, is determined to send him back. While Ben, Jenny and Nikolai race against the clock — and the Order — the trio discovers a link that joins them in life — and beyond death.

What's your take on the rising of New Adult Books?·

Its really exciting and encouraging that we keep finding new ways of enticing and entertaining readers. Whether or not we define it with a label, there is absolutely a market for literature aimed at 18-24 year olds. People in this age bracket, like teenagers, have a unique set of concerns -- attending and graduating from college, navigating the complicated world of modern sex and dating, and coming to terms with family issues that may inhibit their growth and ability to live life on their terms. Maybe the NA label will encourage more writers to address these issues, whereas in the past we (authors) were often told, “We don’t know how to sell or market this.”

Book Playlist: Love Me With Lies by Tarryn Fisher

13312527      15832316     16090981

Love Me With Lies Series
I finished reading Thief last night and I'm still experiencing the post-Tarryn-Fisher sicknessmeaning it still courses through my thoughts and I can't seem to move onI love this series no matter how much it hurt me to the point of making me cry then force me to love it again because of the beauty and reality of it all. It was like that, a cycle...a never ending cycle of love and hate, of trust and lies that render me speechless. The characters are flawed but those are what makes them real and the emotions raw. Man, I hate to say goodbye to the characters I grew to love and hate most especially to Caleb and Olivia so I've decided to create a playlist for their unconventional love story . I'm trying to embed a playlist, however, I don't know what's wrong because it doesn't work so I've listed them instead and highlight the lyrics which I think describe this series the most.

1. I Won't Lie – Go Radio

If I could take it all back
I could make it all right
You could be the best part of my life
I can tell you all night that I wanna be
The man I'm supposed to be
That...

I won't lie
I've waited a million hours just to say that
I will die if you leave me
You are the way my heart beats
And you are the words my tongue speaks
And I will die if you leave me

2. Time-Bomb – All Time Low

Got my heart in your hands
Like a time bomb ticking

It goes off, we start again
If it breaks, we fix it

Got your heart in my hands

Like a time bomb ticking

We should know better
But we won't let go

It was like a time bomb

Set it in motion
We knew that we were
Destined to explode
(Destined to explode)

And if I have to pull you

Out of the wreckage

You know I'm never gonna let you go

3. Wait for You – Elliott Yamin

What will it take to make you come back?
Girl, I told you what it is and it just ain't like that
No, why can't you look at me? You're still in love with me
Don't leave me crying

Baby, why can't we just, just start over again?
Get it back to the way it was
If you give me a chance I can love you right
But you're telling me it won't be enough

So baby, I will wait for you
'Cause I don't know what else I can do
Don't tell me I ran out of time
If it takes the rest of my life

4. I Must Be Dreaming – The Maine

Tell me that you love me.

And it'll be alright.
Are you thinking of me?
Just come with me tonight.
You know I need you.
Just like you need me.
Can't stop, Won't stop.
I must be dreaming.

5. When 3's A Crowd – A Day To Remember

So here we are again, in the same situation
I'm screaming at the top of my lungs and you're not saying a word
Did you just say what you mean?
Why can't you just mean what you said
When you said "No one can love you like me?"

These past four walls won't be the only thing that's keeping me from you
This distance could never hold this back (I need you)
So let's just take this time and we'll use this for reflection
And I'll see you in three days
And you'll think of me when you're next to him

Well that's a wrap up for my first book playlist! ;)
Here are snippets of my favourite quotes from the three books:

"Life does not accommodate you, it shatters you. Love is mean, but it's good. It keeps us alive."

Thief

“Love is illogical. You fall into it like a manhole. Then you're just stuck. You die in love more than you live in love.”
Dirty Red

"I think that after the first time you give your heart away, you never get it back. The rest of your life is just you pretending that you still have a heart."
The Opportunist
